Calling All Young People || Family Camp

Every year we host this family camp. Family camp is a highlight of my year. It is always an amazing time of digging into God's Word, meeting new people, strengthening old friendships, eating good food, experiencing lively worship times, and enjoying hilarious skits, wonderful sessions, and epic volleyball...I could go on and on! I wish all of you could come and experience it! Which brings me to the reason for this post.
You.are.officially.invited!
Family or single, young or old...it doesn't matter. We have people come from pretty much every catagory of life. Last year we had everything from several little babies...to about fify-five teenagers....to a number of singles who came on their own...to grandparents. The age span is so fun!
Even though I know that a lot of my readers fall into the "singles" catagory, I just wanted you to know that you can come, too, family or no family. It's the perfect place to come and meet and get to know other like-minded people, in a very relaxed, family-style setting. We have stimulating conversations and some great games and other interaction as well, along with everything that I mentioned earlier. =)
Email me at info@bontragerfamilysingers.com if you are interested and I will send you a brochure! Or, go directly to our website and click on the events page for more info.
Sign up soon-remaining space is limited!

    1. Chelsy,
So, we were driving to visit a new church we might start attending and it somewhat looked liked Iowa...... more specifically family camp, and Beckham ( who is 3) got soooo excited and told us all that we were in iowa at camp. :) He told us all that we would get to see every one again and was very very excited! So then it was time to go , and we started driving home and out of the blue he started crying, it started out soft , then got louder and louder..... and louder... and even more loud, then before we all knew it hudson (his twin) started crying and when we asked them why they both said it was because they didnt want to leave every one! at camp......#HowIfeltwhenleavingcamp :( Then we told them that we would go back next year, and you could see their faces brighten as we told them that. But they were still sad that they couldnt go back now....... made me soo sad, but brought back so many great memories!
I thought that it was so cute that even a little 3 year old boy could get that into wanting to go back to camp!:)Camp was a true blessing! Cant wait till next year!
      blessings,

    1. The camp lasts 5 days (Sunday afternoon-Friday noon) and cost is $225 for an adult. How old are your kids? (cost varies depending on age)
The cost includes everything-sessions, lodging, and meals.

    2. My kids ages range from 13 to 5. It sounds kinda high but I'm sure it would be worth it.

    3. 13-18yr olds are $130 and 5-12 yr olds are $114. I know it sounds like a lot but it is honestly so worth it. We have been to a lot of camps and events at different places and this is our favorite location. The meals are home cooked and AMAZING. The area/location is so beautiful. And when you consider that the cost includes five nights' lodging and fifteen meals plus snacks...it is really a very good deal. =)

    1. there is a beautiful new dining hall where everybody eats together.
and then there are various cabins/houses where people sleep, as well as a RV lot. (probably 6-8 families bring their own bus or RV/camper)

  11. Book reviews!? I LOVE books. To start I LOVE LOVE LOVE "The Lord of the Rings" by JRR Tolkien. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE "The Lord of the Rings" movies and music. I'm currently rereading LOTR and will sometime this summer watch the movies again. Can't wait :)

  12. Washington's Lady by Nancy Moser and Finishing Becca by Ann Rinaldi are good books.

  13. Would it be worth for a 30+ year old single lady to attend? Not having family or friends that would come along and very probably not knowing anyone else that would be attending. BTW, I follow your blog and really enjoy your writings :)

    1. Oh yes, definitely! There are quite a few other single people around your age, and a number of them that will be coming without their families. I would definitely encourage you to come! There are only a few spaces left so you will want to sign up soon though. Feel free to email me if you prefer if you need a brochure or have any further questions! Or you can just comment back again.
